The figure of Blaise Pascal stands at the intersecting point of the several dimensions of our Foundation, especially in regard to his principal purpose, which is to interact.

Blaise Pascal - great scientist of the 17th Century, a great and genial physicist and mathematician, the inventor of the calculation of probabilities, and of the first arithmetic machine (the "Pascaline") that actually worked, - is known as one of the greatest exponents of the Christian faith of the Classical Age.   He is the author of the Pensées and the Mémorial, in which the faith in the Lord Jesus Christ both permeates and transcends, as it does in his scientific works, without disrupting them.  A great man of culture, the author of  "the most wonderful book in the French language", he also reveals himself as a man of community.  In Tours he conceived and realized the first net of urban public transports, whose incomes were integrally used for the poorest people of the city.  If this one man, who died at the age of 39, could integrate in his life these four fundamental dimensions, we believe that the joined efforts of several men and women of good faith can converge for a great service for all of humanity.  Meanwhile, our Foundation is committed to the fulfillment of its own various specific purposes, to their mutual enrichment.

The purpose of the Science and Faith Association is to support in every way possible, at a high University level, the interaction in the distinction between the positive Sciences, Philosophy and the Theology of the Christian faith.

The International Society for the study of the Biblical and Semitic Rhetoric, wants to support specific studies, at the University level, of the peculiar rhetoric used both in the Old and in the New Testament, and also in the Koran, and to contribute in this way to favor the inter-religious dialog with great intellectual rigor.  Pierre Magnard, one of the greatest experts of Pascal, conceived the idea of a specific "biblical rhetoric" in the center of Pascal's reflection in his Pensées, which determines its whole organization.

The Tonalestate Association wants to foster a deep inter-religious dialog, especially regarding the level of young people on different continents, for a new humanism in which every human being is included, according to the work of  Reggi Emilia, born in Nazareth, in the middle of the 20th Century.
